Apple may announce 2 new Macs on June 6 at WWDC
The rumor: Apple is planning to drop new Macs within in the next couple of months, according to Mark Gurman (86.4% accurate, via Power On).
- “Apple is gearing up to launch some new Macs in the next few months. What better place to do so than WWDC?” Gurman says. “I’m told there are two new Macs coming around the middle of the year or early in the second half. One of those is likely to be the new MacBook Air.”
- Rumors also suggest that in addition to a completely redesigned MacBook Air, Apple is also working on a revamped Mac mini that could launch soon
Sam’s take: With all of the hardware that Apple is said to be dropping this year, they’ll surely spread it out and not save all of it for the Fall, right? WWDC seems like a great time to launch some new Macs, especially if some folks are being offered the opportunity to attend in-person.
