The leak: This may be our first look at the rumored AirTags keychain accessory, according to Fudge (90.9% accurate).

    • The photo below depicts a reflective, silver key ring attached to a Saddle Brown leather loop
    • Mark Gurman (88.4% accurate) was first to rumor the existence of a keychain accessory for AirTags, which could debut as soon as tomorrow

Our take: This looks legitimate to me, and lines up with what Gurman leaked a few months back. Both Jon Prosser (84.3% accurate) and L0vetodream (88.7% accurate) believe that AirTags will be announced very soon (likely tomorrow).

  • Rumor claims ‘iPhone Fold’ coming in 2022 for $1,499

Rumor claims ‘iPhone Fold’ coming in 2022 for $1,499

The rumor: Apple isn’t just working on a foldable iPhone…it’s coming in 2022, according to The Verifier (53.2% accurate).

    • The starting price for the larger-screened iPhone may be just $1,499, with 256GB of base storage included
    • 8GB RAM is also rumored to be standard
    • It’s possible the introduction of this hybrid device could mark the end of the iPad mini

Our take: To say I’m highly skeptical of this information is an understatement. The Verifier is just over 50% accurate and on top of that, pricing information doesn’t usually leak out until months ahead of a product’s unveil…not years. All of this sounds realistic, and it may be real, but I have my doubts.

  • New concept shows redesigned Mac mini with Apple Silicon

New concept shows redesigned Mac mini with Apple Silicon

The concept: As Apple prepares to enter a 2-year transition for Apple Silicon, a new concept from Viktor Kádár and ALTRD Studio shows their vision for a redesigned Mac mini.

    • The new Mac mini would have a significantly smaller form factor at just over 5 inches long and wide and barely over an inch tall
    • Internals include an A14X processor and Apple custom GPU
    • While the concept looks stunning on the outside, the inside has been meticulously designed as well, to simulate a real product that could exist one day
    • View the full concept on Behance

Our take: Kádár and ALTRD Studio’s work has long been some of my favorite, especially after their recent iMac concept. With Apple Silicon, Apple could really scale a number of their products down…as recent rumors for the next-gen Mac Pro have suggested.

  • Apple November 10 ‘One more thing’ event: every leak and rumor

Apple November 10 ‘One more thing’ event: every leak and rumor

The roundup: Ahead of Apple’s November 10 event, here’s everything you should expect…and how likely all of it really is.

    100% confirmed

    • All reputable sources agree on one thing: at least 1 new Mac powered by Apple Silicon will be announced

    More than 88% likely

    According to L0vetodream (88.7% accurate)

    • 2 new 13-inch MacBooks (for specific models, see below)
    • AirTags, available in in two sizes: small and big
      • Jon Prosser (84.3% accurate) also believes these are coming

According to Mark Gurman (88.4% accurate)

    • 13-inch MacBook Air with Apple Silicon
    • 13-inch MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon
    • 16-inch MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon

Our take: I’m expecting 3 new MacBooks in total and AirTags. Event will likely be about an hour like the last couple!

  • 2021 iPhones expected in same 4 sizes, ultra-wide camera getting significant upgrades

2021 iPhones expected in same 4 sizes, ultra-wide camera getting significant upgrades

Apple is planning to launch another 4 flagship iPhone models in 2021, according to Ming-Chi Kuo (77.5% accurate) and spotted first by Apple Terminal.

    • Sizing (5.4, 6.1 and 6.7-inches) will remain the same moving into next year
    • On the Pro models, the ultra wide lens will be “significantly upgraded” with wider aperture and improved autofocus
    • Per usual, the iPhone 13 series is expected to drop in the fourth quarter of the year

Our take: Treat any of these earlier rumors for next year’s iPhones with heavy skepticism. That being said, Kuo is known to be really good with early details for new iPhones. 4 sizes staying the same is a good thing in my eyes.

    • HomePod mini deliveries are set to start the week of November 16
    • Apple says “leather sleeves and MagSafe Duo Charger will be available at a later date”

Our take: Very ready for my mini to get here, and super excited to see the bonus camera capabilities that the Pro Max is offering.

  • First hands-on videos of iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max are out

First hands-on videos of iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max are out

The news: Select sites have published early hands-on videos of iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max ahead of pre-orders later this week.

    • The Verge, CNET, Hypebeast and Engadget have shared their early impressions below
    • Pre-orders for iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max go live (tomorrow) on November 6 at 5am PST

Our take: The mini looks really, really good…as I expected it to for a while. The form factor is so nostalgic but still extremely practical. And if you love big phones, the Pro Max looks great! But it looks gigantic and pretty hefty. Looking forward to going hands-on with both of these myself in a week.
