The rumor: After months of back-and-forth on whether or not we would see 120Hz display technology on iPhone 12 Pro, it hasn’t made the cut…according to Jon Prosser (67.6% accurate).
- Apple wasn’t able to able to get 120Hz displays working on their high-end lineup this year
- Other sources think 120Hz will come to iPhone in 2021
- Mass production for the iPhone 12 is now in full swing, ahead of an October launch for some models
Our take: It’s official: 120Hz isn’t coming this year. I’m bummed. But more so, I’m genuinely curious at this point what the big sell of the higher-end iPhones will be.
